Craniosacral Therapy

Improve your overall health and wellbeing with craniosacral therapy: a light-touch, whole-body treatment technique that works with the wisdom of your body.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, I offer Direct Billing and my services are covered under most insurance policies.

In pregnancy, you may feel especially vulnerable to stress. As your body undergoes change, it may respond in all sorts of unexpected ways. Craniosacral therapy is a great complementary therapy to massage. It works to rebalance the nervous system and release restrictions deep within the body to alleviate aches, pains and strains of life in your pregnant and postpartum body

Craniosacral therapy is a method of hands-on bodywork. In our appointment, we’ll work with your own natural body rhythms to locate areas that are causing issues and begin to address those with light touch. The conscious touch of craniosacral therapy is beneficial in the following areas related to pregnancy and birth:

– releasing restrictions in the pelvis to improve the birthing experience
– relieving back and hip pain
– encouraging positive bonding between moms and babies
– relieving discomfort in the pelvis, uterus, and sacrum
– restoring emotional balance
– assisting with postpartum recovery

Are you wanting to improve your motherhood experience the natural way?

Gentle, hands-on craniosacral therapy also improves whole-body health and performance. It releases tension to allow the entire body to relax and self-correct. It is different from a massage session in that the client remains fully clothed during treatment and they lay on their back for the duration of the session. It’s been found to help with many conditions including:
– Migraines and headaches
– Chronic Neck and Back Pain
– Stress and Tension related disorders
– Motor Coordination Impairments
– Infant and Childhood Disorders
– Spinal Cord Injuries
– Post-Concussion Symptoms
– Chronic Fatigue
– Fibromyalgia
– TMJ Syndrome
– Scoliosis
– Central Nervous System Disorders
– Learning Disabilities
– ADD/ADHD
– Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
– Orthopaedic Problems
And Many other conditions!

This modality helps your body learn to care for itself by tapping into your natural rhythms and inner wisdom.

I went to see Lori for jaw pain. I wasn’t able to open my mouth without pain on my right side and my teeth couldn’t line up while resting. I had seen Lori post about her love of working on jaws and mouths so I knew she would be the perfect solution. I was right! Her craniosacral therapy work released the tension in my jaw and by the end of the session I could move my jaw easily and was pain-free!
